Update - 1/6/08

Hi friends,

Thank you so much for your love and prayers. You're a HUGE blessing to us.

My dad's procedure went well today, without complications. The initial results from the biopsy show some kind of lymphoma. Beyond that, we won't have any more information until the test results come back in 3-4 days. We'll keep you posted.

This morning, I read from Isaiah. Chapter 41 talks a lot about our God's character. Vs. 28 and 29 say "He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable... He gives power to the faint and to him who has no might he increases strength." I'm so thankful this is the kind of God we serve.

Please keep praying.

Love,
Blake

  1. Ahhh...to take your verses a step further in Isaiah 40..."But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint." The key? "wait upon the Lord"...one of the hardest things we as humans can never seem to accomplish...the wait. God has a plan, Cliff and Beth. God is going to renew your strength...you are going to soar like eagles [is there anything as majestic as a soaring eagle?]. I have a friend who was recently diagnosed with AML and I have been reading her blog and am going to share something about her "waiting"...having to be patient...She said God knows, the doctors plan...then there is the patient...having to be patient. I pray for patience during this time of "waiting".
